Craft Fair Display: What I used in My Market

As a crochet and knit artist, I’m always looking for ways to showcase my handmade items in the best possible light. That’s why I put a lot of thought into my craft fair displays. I want to create a space that is both visually appealing and inviting, where potential customers can easily browse and find the perfect item for themselves or a loved one.

For my most recent craft fair, I decided to go with a simple but effective display. I wanted to use one color throughout since most my items are brightly colored. So, I stuck with black for my table cloths and black for display items. I then used a variety of display products to organize and highlight my items. Below, I linked the products for you to easily browse through and consider for your market display.

Here’s a closer look at the products I used in my display:

  • Display shelves: I used two display shelves to create different levels in my display. This helped to draw the eye up and down the table, and it also made it easier for customers to see all of my items.
  • Baskets: I used a variety of baskets to store and display my items. This helped to keep my display organized and tidy, and it also gave me the flexibility to group similar items together.
  • Towel rack: I used a hanging rack to display my blankets. This was a great way to show off the colors and make them easy for customers to browse.
  • Tiered Shelving: I added 2 different tiered shelving stand-alone pieces to attract customers who maybe didn’t want to come into the area, but wanted to browse along the aisleway.

In addition to these display products, I also made sure to use plenty of signage to tell customers about my company and the prices of items I was selling. I also included a few business cards on my table so that customers could easily contact me if they had any questions or wanted to place an order.

The specific products I will list below for you to easily find.

I’m really happy with how my craft fair display turned out. I think it was visually appealing and inviting, and it helped me to sell a lot of items. If you’re interested in seeing a video of my display, you can click on the link here.

I hope this blog post gives you some ideas for your own craft fair display. With a little planning and effort, you can create a space that will help you to sell more of your handmade items.

3 Tiered Stand-Alone Basket

The one I have is the Mesa 3-tier wrought iron market basket with removable baskets
$139 from WalMart. I listed the lower cost version above.

The Standing Blanket (Towel) Rack.

The one I have is the K & B Antique Pewter Standing Towel Rack that is out of stock from Bed Bath and Beyond. I recommend a lighter weight version of this towel stand you can find off Amazon.

6′ Folding Table

Easy to transport and great for displaying items.

4′ Folding Table
The smaller version of the one I mentioned above.

Waterproof Spandex Table Cover (4′)

Waterproof Spandex Table Cover (6′)

Perfect to cover the table and make it look more professional. Both this one and the 6′ one cover the entire table down to the table’s feet to have a more clean appearance.

Folding Lightweight Camping Chair with side table (Timber Ridge)

I use the side table to keep my working project while I’m at the craft fair.

Mini Chalkboard Signs

Perfect to write your prices down for your items. Easy to wipe off as well. I keep the chalk pen with me in case I need to adjust prices while at the market.

Canopy Weights (set of 4)

These came in super handy as the wind really picked up and was trying to blow my canopy away! They are easy to transport and easy to place.

Pop-Up Canopy w/sidewalls 10’x10′

This canopy is of EXCELLENT quality. I love that it has all 4 sides as well – one with a door for those really bad weather days. It’s super sturdy.
